Nokia 9.3 PureView Low Light Photos & 8K Video Recording review

According to a new report, the upcoming Nokia 9.3 PureView may be able to produce better low light photos. On top of that, the report claims that 8K video recording will be included, along with an improved 'Pro' camera mode.

The Nokia 9.3 PureView may end up offering considerably better low light photos
This report comes from the Nokia Power User, and has been received from 'sources'. NPU claims that prototypes of the Nokia 9.3 are already in testing. One of those prototypes is allegedly able to shoot 8K videos at 30fps.

It is noted, however, that this is an experimental feature. It is not yet clear whether 8K video recording will be included in the final product. The source did say that the 8K video footage is "impressive", though.

HMD is still working to finalize the camera and editing algorithms. The company is also working on improving both the 'Night' and 'Pro' camera modes. So we could end up with much better low light photos on the Nokia 9.3 PureView, than it was the case with its predecessor.

The 'Pro mode' will offer enhanced controls and refined algorithms. The 'Night mode' may get an edge with the inclusion of OIS and bigger Pixel size, notes the source.

HMD Global is also working closely with Zeiss. As Zeiss team is helping HMD fine-tune some 'exclusive' Zeiss effects that will be included on the Nokia 9.3 PureView.

A 108-megapixel camera is also rumored, along with a 64-megapixel unit
This is not the first Nokia 9.3 PureView rumor we've seen, not even close. The phone has been popping up in the news for a while now. A recent rumor actually suggested that it will include a 108-megapixel camera.

In addition to that 108-megapixel camera, a 64-megapixel camera sensor was also mentioned. We're not yet sure which one is supposed to be the main sensor, or anything of the sort, but there you go.

Another rumor suggested that the phone got postponed due to the global health crisis. The phone was supposed to launch in the first half of this year, but that will not happen, it seems.
The Nokia 9.3 PureView is now expected to land in the second half of 2020. This is not yet official information, but it's the latest info that we've seen. We don't know when exactly it's supposed to launch, though.

The device will almost certainly ship with the Snapdragon 865 SoC, and support 5G connectivity. It will have at least 4 or 5 cameras on the back, and one on the front.

Android 10 will come pre-installed on this phone, and it will be a really clean build of Android. The phone will probably be made out of metal and glass.
